Home Buyers
There are two ways to search for a new home:
1) Search the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) by contacting a
real estate agent. He or she as a licensed agent will have
access to the NorthStar MLS system used here in Minnesota.
The MLS contains listings that are listed by a Realtor and
it also contains a few for sale by owner homes by homeowners
who pay a fee (usually around $500) to be listed on the
MLS.
2) Search online to find properties that may not be listed
with a real estate broker. Consumers may be able to find
properties listed on Craigslist as well as other websites.
These homes are not usually listed on the Multiple Listing
service, so they offer home buyers an additional source of
homes for sale in Minnesota.
